FAQ’s
1). HOW DO I ORDER?
Simply log into the online shop with the username and password supplied and you
are able to browse an enormous range of wholesale flowers at genuine import prices!
The prices shown are ex VAT & delivery costs if applicable.
(Please note, because flowers are purchased at auction, the prices will change daily
based on ‘supply & demand’. The site can only display daily market prices).
Our site is not a robotic, automated ordering system – To order, simply phone us
to discuss your requirements in detail. We will advise you on all aspects of your
project from start to finish and then process the order.
2). HOW DO I GET A USER NAME & PASSWORD?
Simply fill in the on-line application form. Once submitted, you will receive the
passwords by return email.
3). HOW ARE MY WHOLESALE FLOWERS PACKED?
All flowers are professionally packed in sturdy wholesale flower boxes. Flowers
that require water in transit are packed with specially designed aqua packs attached
to the stems. In warm weather conditions, ice packs are included in the boxes.
4). WHAT TIME OF DAY WILL MY WHOLESALE FLOWERS BE DELIVERED?
We always use our contracted courier company’s premium AM delivery service. This
ensures that your flowers are in transit for the shortest possible time and enables
you to organise your day. From experience we have found that 98% of orders are delivered
before 11.45am.
5). WHAT HAPPENS IF I AM OUT AT THE TIME OF DELIVERY?
Firstly, it is very important that someone is available to accept your wholesale
flowers because they should be unpacked and conditioned as soon as possible. Secondly,
should no one be available to accept delivery, the courier will attempt to leave
your order in a safe place at the delivery address or with a neighbour – in this
event, however, neither us or any courier acting on our behalf, can be held responsible
or accept any claim for any loss or damage caused. Failing this the courier will
leave a calling card in your mail box with instructions on collecting your flowers
from their depot. (When collecting from the courier depot, always take identification
such as a driving licence or passport with you).
6). IS THE DELIVERY DATE GUARANTEED?
We will always attempt to deliver your order on the specified date, however due
to circumstances outside of our control, such as traffic conditions etc, a delivery
on the following day may be possible. From experience we have found that 99% of
orders are delivered on the specified date.
7). WHY DOES THE PRICE OF FLOWERS KEEP CHANGING?
All of our flowers are specifically purchased for you by us at the Aalsmeer Flower
Auction in Holland. As with any other auction situation the price of each item is
determined by supply and demand on a daily basis. This can be a daunting part of
buying wholesale flowers but you are guaranteed our best help and advice all the
way.
8). HOW DO I PAY?
Once you have discussed your requirements with us and chosen your flowers from our
online wholesale flower shop we will process your order. Payment is taken via credit
or debit card. We accept all major payment cards. Full payment is required before
your order can be despatched.
9). CAN I CANCEL OR AMEND MY ORDER?
Once your order has been confirmed it is not possible to cancel or amend it. The
reason for this being as soon as we process your order it is sent directly to our
buyers in Holland. They then act very quickly and start buying your flowers at the
auction. The system is extremely quick fire and there is no time to change the order.
It is possible to create another order before the cut off time though.
10). IS THERE A DELIVERY CHARGE?
Delivery charges will vary – please call us for details on 01255 861263.
11). DO YOUR PRICES INCLUDE OR EXCLUDE VAT?
None of the prices shown include UK VAT. 15% VAT will be applied to the total
of your flowers and delivery charges if applicable.
12). DO YOU OFFER ADVICE BEFORE I BUY?
Absolutely! This is what we are all about. Buying wholesale flowers can be a little
daunting. The prices are always changing, flowers come in & out of season, matching
different varieties together, blending colours and shades of colours, choosing different
grades of flowers, deciding on what stem lengths are suitable for the job and what
quantities of each to buy! Our web site is not a robotic ordering system – placing
your final order is probably the easiest part of it all. Please always call or email
us for advise before you start. There is no charge for advice and we are here to
help you every step of the way.
13). CAN I ORDER WEEKS IN ADVANCE?
Unfortunately this is not possible because the flower varieties available and the
prices change on a daily basis. Saying that though, we can always give you a ‘guestimate’
at any time to help you with your budget – just give us a call or send an email!
14). DO YOU HAVE A MINIMUM ORDER VALUE?
No! You can order exactly what you need. All orders are important to us, no matter
how big or small.
15). WHAT DAYS DO YOU DELIVER?
We can deliver directly to your door in mainland UK twice a week. You can have your
flowers delivered on a Tuesday or a Thursday or both!
Tuesday Delivery: Your order has to be confirmed the previous Thursday by 4pm GMT.
Thursday Delivery: Your order has to be confirmed the previous Monday by 4pm GMT.
16). WHERE DO YOUR FLOWERS COME FROM?
All of our flowers are purchased specifically for you by us at The Aalsmeer Flower
Auction, Bloemenveiling Aalsmeer
Legmeerdijk 313, Postbus 1000, 1430 BA Aalsmeer and are delivered directly to your
door.
17). WHERE DO YOU DELIVER?
We deliver to almost all areas of Mainland UK. The only areas we do not recommend
delivery is some areas of Scotland – this is because it takes 2 days to deliver
and in our opinion that is too long for flowers to be in transit. We do not like
to deliver to the following post code areas: KW, IV, HS, PB and AB because of this.
18). DO YOU OFFER CORPORATE ACCOUNT & CREDIT FACILITIES?
Yes we do. Please email us with your requirements.
19). HOW DO I CARE FOR MY FLOWERS AFTER DELIVERY?
Please refer to the ‘care & conditioning of flowers’ area of our web site. Telephone
and email advice is always available as well.
