Cosmos, (otherwise known as Chocolate Flowers), are a genus of the same name ‘cosmos’ and a member of the Asteraceae family. Cosmos is native to Mexico and South America.
Cosmos is known as the ‘chocolate flower’ because of the deep brown flowers made up of a centre disk, surrounded by rounded petals – similar looking to a daisy.
In the wholesale flower markets cosmos is available in wraps of 25 or 50 stems with a stem length of approximately 50/60cm tall. The vase life of cosmos is no longer than 6/7 days maximum.

Cosmos (Chocolate Flowers)
To get the best from your wholesale cut cosmos please read the care instructions below carefully:
- Cut the stems at a 45 degree angle with a sharp knife.
- Fill sterilised buckets with cold luke warm and add flower food.
- Place the cosmos in the buckets - up to their necks in water.
- Leave over night to condition before using.
Never leave cut flowers in direct sun light, near a radiator, in a draft or near fruit. (The gas used to ripen fruit will harm most flowers). Keep the cosmos in a cool place and always keep out of the way of children.
