Eustoma, (also known as Lysianthus, Lisianthus, Texas Bluebell, Prairie Gentian or simply 'Lizzy' in the trade), is a genus of the Gentianaceae family. Eustoma has slightly succulent leaves and multiple bell shaped flower heads. Eustoma is a very popular flower on the wholesale flower markets and is grown in great quantity. It is now available just about all year round and is used extensiveley in vintage wedding flowers.
In the wholesale flower markets eustoma is sold in wraps of 10 stems, the best qualities being stem lengths of 75 - 80cm tall. Eustoma is available in a lovely range of colours in either double or single varieties. Two tone picottee varieties are also available in white/purple and white/pink.

Eustoma (Lysianthus)
To get the best from your wholesale cut eustoma / lysianthus please read the care instructions below carefully:
- Cut the stems at a 45 degree angle with a sharp knife.
- Fill sterilised buckets with luke warm water and add flower food.
- Place the eustoma in the buckets.
- Leave over night to condition before using.
Never leave cut flowers in direct sun light, near a radiator, in a draft or near fruit. (The gas used to ripen fruit will harm most flowers). Keep the eustoma in a cool place and always keep out of the way of children.
