Muscari, (otherwise known as Grape Hyacinths), is a genus of the Hyacinthaceae family and are native to Eurasia.
The name ‘muscari’ is derived from the Latin word muscus’ – meaning ‘musk’ as their scent is similar to musk.
Muscari is commonly used in wedding flowers for small, dainty table arrangements.
Muscari is available in the wholesale flower markets as a cut flower and are sold in wraps of 50 or 100 stems. Stem lengths are usually around 30cm tall.

Muscari (Grape Hyacinths)
To get the best from your wholesale cut muscari please read the care instructions below carefully:
- Cut the stems at a 45 degree angle with a sharp knife.
- Fill sterilised buckets with cold luke warm and add flower food.
- Place the muscari in the buckets - up to their necks in water.
- Leave over night to condition before using.
Never leave cut flowers in direct sun light, near a radiator, in a draft or near fruit. (The gas used to ripen fruit will harm most flowers). Keep the muscari in a cool place and always keep out of the way of children.
