Rubus is a large genus of the rose subfamily Rosoideae. Blackberries, dewberries and raspberries are common members of this genus. The fruit of rubus is often called bramble fruit.
Some varieties of rubus are grown commercially for the wholesale flower markets as decorative fruits and are very popular in floristry - especially in wedding flowers for something a little different.
Rubus is wholesaled in wraps of 10 or 20 stems and stem lengths are usually 60-70cm tall.

Rubus
To get the best from your wholesale cut rubus please read the care instructions below carefully:
- Cut the stems at a 45 degree angle with a sharp knife.
- Fill sterilised buckets with luke warm water and add flower food.
- Place the rubus in the buckets.
- Leave over night to condition before using.
Never leave cut flowers in direct sun light, near a radiator, in a draft or near fruit. (The gas used to ripen fruit will harm most flowers). Keep the rubus in a cool place and always keep out of the way of children.
