Alliums & Ornithogalum

Alliums are related to the onion family and are bred for their sculptured, spherical flower heads. There are many varieties of cut alliums available and are particulately popular when it comes to contempory floristry. Alliums produce a chemical called 'cysteine sulfoxide' which causes them to small like onions!

Ornithogalum, (otherwise known as Star of Bethlehem & Chincherinchee), have a very long vase life. Purchase in good time to allow for open flowers.
