Anemones are also known as Wind Flowers. The first wholesale cut Anemones commercially available in the UK are usually imported from Israel and followed by the higher quality Dutch grown varieties later.

Dutch grown anemones have stronger stems and a longer vase life than the Israeli anemones. If you definately need anemones out of season, early in the year, use Israeli - if not, it is well worth waiting for the Dutch.
