Opulent, grand, majestic, can you think of any other words to describe the fabulous delphiniums?

Summer is the season for Delphinium and are always popular for large flower displays and arrangements because of their tall elegant shape. There are three main groups of Delphinium (1) The large (and most expensive) double flowering 'Elatum' varieties (2) The single flowering 'Belladonna' varieties and (3) Larkspur (often called 'Rocket Larkspur'). Each variety is available in different stem lengths and the colours range through blues, lilacs, pinks, purples and whites.
