Orchids are one of the most exotic and stunning flowers available on the wholesale flower markets. Originally, all orchids were imported from hotter climes, but nowadays are successfully grown in carefully regulated greenhouse conditions in Holland.

Wholesale Orchids are ideal wedding flowers and can be used to create bridal bouquets, table arrangements, pedestal displays, button holes, decorating wedding cakes, table settings, serviette holders etc with brilliant effect, never failing to add a touch of class.

A far as commercially available cut wholesale orchids are concerned there are four main categories – Cymbidium Orchids, (also known as Boat Orchids), Dendrobrium Orchids, (also known as Singapore Orchids), Phalaenopsis Orchids, (also known as Moth Orchids & often miss-spelt ‘phalanopsis’) and Vanda Orchids.

Cymbidium Wholesale Orchids.

Cut cymbidium wholesale orchids, (known in the trade simply as ‘cymbids’) are available in two slightly different varieties – mini cymbids and large cymbids. Mini cymbidium wholesale orchids are available in stem lengths of 40cm, 50cm & 60cm and have smaller flower heads than large cymbidiums. Large cymbidium wholesale orchids are available in stem lengths of 60cm - 80cm tall and have larger flower heads than mini cymbidiums. Both large and mini varieties are available. Dendrobrium Wholesale Orchids.

Also commonly known as the Singapore wholesale Orchid, the dendrobrium wholesale orchid is mainly used in wedding flowers, making beautiful shower bouquets and adding the exotic to pedestal displays. You may have flown to Asia and been given a stem on the aircraft? Dendrobrium wholesale orchids are sold in wholesale wraps of 10 stems. Dendrobriums are available all year round.

Phalaenopsis Wholesale Orchids.

Also known as the Moth Orchid because they are said to resemble moths in flight, phalaenopsis wholesale orchids are sold in boxes with blooms attached to the stems. There are 25 blooms per box and they are charged for per bloom. Cut phalaenopsis wholesale orchids are available all year round.

Vanda Wholesale Orchids.

Vanda Orchids, (real name - vandaceous orchids), have only been available on the wholesale markets for about the last ten years and have gained in popularity ever since. They are a unique looking wholesale orchid with large showery petals and are currently available. Vanda wholesale orchids are sold in boxes with blooms attached to the stems. There are either 16 or 25 blooms per box and they are charged for per bloom. Vanda wholesale orchids are available all year round.
