Clematis

Clematis

Wholesale Clematis is a delicate trailing cut flower valued for its movement, texture and elegant vine-like stems . Commonly known as a garden plant, Clematis was introduced as a cut flower variety around 2016 and has become especially popular for bridal work and natural floral designs.

Clematis offers soft, delicate blooms on cascading stems in tones of lilac, purple, pink, white and damson. Its naturally trailing habit makes it ideal for loose, unstructured and romantic floristry.

Conditioning and Care

To get the best from your wholesale cut clematis, please read the care instructions below carefully:

  • Cut the stems at a 45 degree angle with a sharp knife, carbon blade scissors or secateurs
  • Fill sterilised buckets with fresh, clean water and add flower food. Remove the foliage below the waterline. Clean buckets and fresh water is essential for maximum vase life.
  • Place the clematis in the buckets
  • Ideally store at 5 to 8 degrees
  • Re-cut the stems to support hydration every other day
  • Handle carefully as the stems are delicate and can tangle easily

Never leave the cut flowers in direct sun light, near a radiator, in a draught or near fruit (the gas used to ripen fruit will harm most flowers). Keep the clematis in a cool place and always keep out of the way of children.
