Everything you need to know about Christmas

Easy

With Christmas just around the corner, it is perfect time to plan ahead for your workshops and fundraising events. At this time of year, we are inundated with enquiries about wreaths, wreath supplies and questions about our products. We have put together a quick guide to help answer the most FAQ's.

Q: How much coverage do I need for both Spruce and Moss for wreaths?

Disclaimer: This is based on personal preference and can vary depending on the type of base used, coverage and other types of greenery you are using.

Ring Sizes English Moss  Sphagnum Moss Spruce Bundle (5KG)
10" 6 rings  10-15 5-6 rings
12" 5 rings  10 2-4 rings
14" 4 rings  8 2-3 rings

Q: What types of greenery do you offer and how much do I need for wreaths?

The type of greenery used on wreaths is based on personal preference. In past years, we have sold our Greenery boxes, in both Modern and Traditional styles that are incredibly popular for our customer base. Q: How much binding wire or mossing twine will I need for the wreaths?

If you are doing a workshop, you may wish to provide one roll of binding wire or one roll of mossing twine per individual. You can use the binding medium to bind moss onto the frame, as well as the the greenery. You can also use the wire for your accessories instead of the green stub wire. The binding wire can be reused for multiple workshops (approximately 3-4 wreaths depending on the size).

Q: What type of green stub wire do I need and how much?

Typically green stub wire is sold in 1 to 2.5KG bundles which would be sufficient for any workshop under 100 people. We do not have the exact wire quantity. For wiring accessories, you can view our demonstration tutorials in Christmas How to Guides for recommendations. The most popular wure gauge is 0.71 to 0.90mm. You can purchase mini packs of wires for single wreaths.

Q: How much ribbon do I need for a wreath workshop?

Many of our Christmas wired ribbons are approximately 9.1 meters. If you cut 1m per individual, each roll would give you 9 ribbon bows. If you require trails for the ribbons, you may wish to cut 1.5-2m per individual.

As we approach the Christmas season, we will continue to update this information to keep you as informed as possible.
