Step by Step Instructions

  1. Cut Spruce into manageable small pieces

  2. Wire up the fruit and cones

  3. Indicate the centre point of the rope by marking it with tape or ribbon etc.

  4. Bind the first piece of Spruce onto the rope securely keeping the rope taught. You may find it beneficial to tie the other end of the rope to something secure to keep it rigid

  5. Working either side of the first piece, bind the next pieces of spruce onto the rope overlapping the first placement and maintaining a 3 dimensional appearance.

  6. Continue to the middle of the rope, keeping an even appearance.

  7. Tie off the twine leaving a long end

  8. Repeat the process from the other end of the rope until you meet in the middle, again leaving a long end of twine

  9. Use small clusters of spruce to cover the finishing point. Tie these onto the garland using the long ends of twine remaining

  10. Tie the long ends of twine together securely to finish the garland. Ideally do this on the reverse side of the garland

  11. Place the fruit and cones in your preferred positions, and then securely wire into position

  12. Place in position, and if possible, mist daily to help hydrate
