How to Make a Greenery Backdrop
Step by Step Guide
-
Start by conditioning the foliage before you start working with it. We recommend receiving the greenery 2 to 3 days prior to the event to allow time for this.
-
Begin by creating a garland with the soft ruscus (you can add the eucalyptus for added texture).
-
Once you have created the garland, you can attach to the backdrop using cable ties, nails or staples - making sure there is a suitable place and you have permission from the venue.
-
If you prepare the garlands in advance, soft ruscus is the preferred option as this is long lasting out of water and versatile. Prepare a box with tissue or kraft paper, place the garlands inside, mist and cover to create a micro-climate.
