How to Make a Tall Hydrangea Arrangement

Easy

Step by Step Guide

  1. Condition the Hydrangea before you start working with them. We recommend receiving the Hydrangea delivered 2 to 3 days prior to the event.
  2. Cut the Hydrangea into small pieces using sharp scissors
  3. Add the smaller pieces of Hydrangea to the cylinder (clean vase) creating a pattern with the two colours

  4. Once you have filled the Hydrangea pieces to the top of the vase, add the water and fill it to the top

  5. Position the oasis dish to the top of the cylinder with floral faom (secured with anchor tape)

  6. Add a collar of Hydrangea leaves around the base of the floral foam to disguise the plastic base.

  7. Add the smaller pieces of Hydrangea to the floral foam creating a pattern with the two colours

  8. If you wish to arrange without using a floral foam / plastic base, you can create a hand-tied design with the hydrangea and place into the cylinder. Add the smaller pieces of Hydrangea into the cylinder to hide the stems.
  9. Make sure to top up the water in the arrangement
