How to Make a Cube Red Rose and Cinnamon Design
Easy
1
Gather all of your equipment to start creating the design. Please see below in the shopping basket. As we are using Fresh flowers in the design, make sure you condition the roses before you start working with them. All the information on conditioning flowers is provided on the website.
Depending on the size of the container you will be using, you will need to work out how many roses you will need. Here, we are using 3x4 in a cube arrangement (total 12 roses).
2
Start by decorating your container. Here, we have glued the cinnamon sticks to the plastic cube container using a hot glue gun. Make sure you keep the glue gun out of the reach of children and read the safety precautions carefully.
3
Once you have finished attaching the cinnamon sticks to the container and it is dry, you can finish with a bow using satin ribbon (example 3mm).
4
Measure the container and add a piece of soaked floral foam to the container as shown in the photograph.
5
Cut the roses, leaving approx. 8 to 10cm of stem - slit the stem up and remove the guard petals (optional).
6
Position the roses in the floral foam, starting in the corner and working in lines, 3 down and 4 across (in this example).
7
Continue to add the roses until you have finished the look.
8
For further decoration for your table centrepiece, add midelino sticks creating a criss-cross pattern by simply bending the sticks at a right angle.
