When Should I Order Hollow Stemmed Flowers?

We recommend delivery 2-3 days before the event depending on the variety. This allows time for hydration and development. Delicate hollow stems should be handled carefully and supported where needed.

Step by Step Conditioning Guide

1. Carefully remove all packaging

2. Remove any foliage that will sit below the waterline

3. Cut 2-3cm off each stem at sharp angle with florist knife, scissors or secateurs. 

4. Place immediately into fresh, clean water with flower food (optional)

5. Turn the stems upside down and fill with tepid water. Hold your thumb over the stem or use a cotton pad until it is placed back into a bucket of water. 

6. Use sterilised clean buckets and overcrowding. Store upright in a cool, low lit environment. 

7. For some varieties, shallow water may be more suitable.
