Peonies are named after the Greek god of medicine and healing 'Paeon' and have also been the state flower of Indiana since 1957.
The Peony is one of the most popular wedding flowers around, but unfortunately has quite a short season of April - July. The best quality varieties are grown under glass in Holland. When Peonies are out of season we suggest using Colombian Garden Roses as a substitute. Please note peonies will need time to open properly - advice always available.
You will notice that some of the Peonies available at the moment are Israeli Grown.. Dutch Grown Peonies start in April until the end of July at which time prices are cheaper because they are auctioned in larger quantities (they are also better quality than the Israeli peonies). NB. Israeli Peonies have small heads.
Please read the product advice before you proceed...
All Peonies available now have been grown in Chile or Israel. They are not the same quality as the European Peonies in season between May-July.
