Discover an insight into the type of flowers to used to base funeral tributes.Typically, there are two types of flower varieties to use for basing flower tributes: Spray Chrysanthemums and Standard Carnations. 

Chrysanthemums are traditional funeral flowers available in white and a wide range of colours. To base funeral tributes, the double variety is recommended. Typically, this is the most cost effective flower to use, with approx. 3 to 5 heads per stem. 

White Chrysanthemums can be sprayed any colour (using spray paint) where a bespoke design tribute is required such as football shirts, badges or crests. You can also buy pre-dyed chrysanthemums to help you achieve your desired look. 

Alternatively, you can opt for Carnations. This traditional funeral flower can be used to base massed tributes, creating a wonderful textured finish.
