Orchids & Exotics
Most orchids arrive with water bottles attached to the stems. Please note this is for transport purposes only.
Orchids are tropical flowers, so they must be kept warm. A centrally heated house or venue is perfect.
Step-by-Step Guide
-
Remove any water bottles from the stems (if any)
-
Give the stems a fresh cut.
-
Fill sterilized buckets with luke warm water and add flower food
-
Place orchids in the buckets
-
Leave overnight (in a warm environment - room temperature) to condition before using.
-
Keep the orchids in a warm place and always keep out of the way of children.
-
Never leave cut flowers in direct sun light, near a radiator, in a draft or near fruit. (The gas ripening fruit emits will harm most flowers).
-
Orchids are tropical flowers and will not thrive in a refrigerated environment. Normal domestic room temperature will be fine.
