Conditioning and Care
To get the best from your wholesale cut chrysanthemums please read the care instructions below carefully:
- Cut the stems at a 45 degree angle with a sharp knife, carbon blade scissors or secateurs.
- Fill sterilised buckets with fresh, clean water and add flower food. Remove the foliage below the waterline. Clean buckets and fresh water is essential for maximum vase life.
- Place the chrysanthemums in the buckets.
- Ideally store between 2 and 8 degrees
- Leave over night to condition before using
- Change the water every 4 to 5 days
- Avoid overcrowding the buckets and allow airflow around the stems. Good airflow helps maintain quality!
- The foliage will usually yellow and wilt before the flowers deteriorate.
Never leave cut flowers in direct sun light, near a radiator, in a draft or near fruit. (The gas used to ripen fruit will harm most flowers). Keep the chrysanthemums in a cool place and always keep out of the way of children.
