Eucharis Lily (Amazon Lilies)

Eucharis Lily (Amazon Lilies)

The Eucharis Lily, (real name Eucharis Grandiflora and also commonly known as the Amazon Lily), is a shade loving plant native to South America.

The Eucharis Lily is a multi-headed flower and looks very similar to the common daffodil. Up to four flowers sprout from the top of each stem. When daffodils are out of season Eucharis Lilies are a perfect substitute and always look superb when used in wedding flowers.

Eucharis Lilies are available on the wholesale flower markets almost year round these days and are sold in boxes of 20 stems. Stem lengths are usually no taller that 50cm.

To get the best from your wholesale cut eucharis lilies please read the care instructions below carefully:

  • Cut the stems at a 45 degree angle with a sharp knife.
  • Fill sterilised buckets with cold luke warm and add flower food.
  • Place the eucharis in the buckets - up to their necks in water.
  • Leave over night to condition before using.

Never leave cut flowers in direct sun light, near a radiator, in a draft or near fruit. (The gas used to ripen fruit will harm most flowers). Keep the eucharis lilies in a cool place and always keep out of the way of children.
