Other Information about Wholesale Cornflowers
- When to order? We would recommend the delivery of Cornflowers 2-3 days before the event to allow time for conditioning and preparation
- Handle gently, as the petals are delicate
- Best used for meadow, country, rustic and natural seasonal designs
- Works well with tanacetum, grasses, Ammi majus, sweet peas, roses and seasonal foliage
- Keep vases topped up, as these are thirsty flowers
- Needs good air circulation, as cornflowers are sensitive to ethylene gas
- To dry cornflowers, they need to be very fresh; the petals will drop. Air-dry them by hanging them upside down in a cool, airy place
- Arrange with delicate summer flowers such as larkspur, pinks and nigella
- A better shelf life in water over floral foam

Conditioning and Care
To get the best from your wholesale cut cornflowers, please read the care instructions below carefully:
- Ideal temperature range 2 to 6 degrees
- Cut the stems at a 45-degree angle with a sharp knife.
- Fill sterilised buckets with lukewarm water and add flower food.
- Place the cornflowers in the buckets.
- Leave overnight to condition before using.
Never leave cut flowers in direct sunlight, near a radiator, in a draft or near fruit. The gas used to ripen fruit will harm most flowers. Keep the cornflowers in a cool place and always keep them out of the way of children.
