Choose a suitable vase, make sure it is nice and clean. Fill with clean water and add flower food.

Lie your flower varieties out on the desk so you can see what you have to work with. 

Start with some foliage in one hand and slowly add flower varieties to your design using the spiral technique. Always turn your handtied everytime you add a new stem.

Feel free to adjust the flower placements until you are happy with your design, once you have a good spiral you will be able to remove stems and re-position placements.

Once you are happy with your design you can tie off your handtied with either natural twine or raffia.

Measure your design up against your vase so you know how much to trim your stems.

Pop your arranged handtie into your vase, you may need to cut a little more off your stems if it is too tall.
