Place small stones or pebbles supplied in the base of the terrarium. These will act as drainage for the plant roots and prevent excess water causing rot.

Add a layer of compost, between 1 to 3 inches depending on the terrarium size and plants used.

Add the plants. Start by using the larger plants first and work from the back forward. It is difficult to reach over the plants already placed in such a confined space!

Complete the look with decorative moss and stones around the plants. 

Personalise with accessories if desired.

Place in a well lit position away from direct sunlight.

Water approximately every 2 weeks or when the compost looks dried out.
